Rowan depicts humankind’s endeavor to interpret the cosmic and to strive to connect to and honor it. Rowan’s artwork embraces the depth of the knowing, nurturing, sacred and spiritual wisdom of our foremothers. Throughout human history women have traditionally been the knowledge-keepers, the healers, and the connection between the worldly and the divine. Women intuitively know the past, the present, and very often the future. Here, in Rowan’s paintings, we see the dance and dream of the Shaman; the inner fire, peace, and alchemy of love and of creation. These images of healing and of soul retrieval remind us of our spiritual place in the world and of our connection to all that is known and unknown - to all that is.
