Sales 101 Includes Preparation, Display & Presentation of Merchandise, Ways to Approach a Client, First Impressions, How to Position Yourself, Sales Techniques That Work, Selling Yourself (Not Just the Art), Benefits, First Class Customer Service, and Providing the Unexpected. Consignment Issues and Contract Negotiations Beyond exclusivity and commission percentage, there are many issues to consider in a consignment agreement. Likewise, accepting commissions can be a nightmare without a proper contract. Tips regarding fifteen topics are included, plus problems to avoid, and how to diplomatically handle negotiations. Galleries 101 This segment provides valuable tips for artists on how to target galleries, both online and in person. | Hendersonville in Henderson County, NC is becoming a place where emerging artists have gathered and opened studios in downtown areas and in their own homes. Like other artists in the community, we accept Art Commissions and sell our paintings in our art gallery in the studio. Our gallery space is also where we offer Hendersonville Art Classes, Art Instruction, original art, gallery space for other artists during art shows and art exhibits. We are located along Main Street among Hendersonville Art Galleries and Studios. Currently we offer day classes but are considering night classes for beginner, advanced, and professional NC artists. We belong to the Art League of Henderson County, Arts Council of Hendersonville, APS, and are listed on NC Arts. Kathy Gagnon, our watercolor instructor previously taught at Opportunity House. Karen Chambers and Susan Webb Tregay, NWS are instructors as well.
