Light The Lake 2021

Children’s Art Show - August 7th

REGISTRATION FORM

Anchor Bay Area school children can help save an important part of our Lake St. Clair history.

Two 1859 Range Lights located in the South Channel next to Harsens Island were initially saved by a group of concerned citizens who formed the SOSCL nonprofit group in the late 1970s. These range lights, built before Abraham Lincoln was President, were close to being lost forever as the islands eroded in rough winter seas. We all can help save these treasures for future generations by supporting SOSCL.

CHILDREN living in our Anchor Bay area, you can HELP. Create an ARTWORK depicting one of Michigan’s 100+ Lighthouses that we can offer for SALE on AUG 7th - National Lighthouse Day. (11-5)

Please use a normal size 8 1/2 “x11’ board or paper to support your artwork. You can draw, or paint or use glued papers. Be creative! Have fun!

All proceeds will go to SOSCL to help preserve the South Channel Lights. SOSCL will have information at this event. Interested people can stay for their annual meeting at 3 pm at this event. Go to www.SOSChannelLights.org to learn more.

WHERE? Look for the SOSCL TENT just outside Walter & Mary Burke Park 36310 Front St. New Baltimore on the lot across from the Washington Street Wine House.
